My Team Iowa Journey

Transplant Games of America 2026 Team Iowa · 1 August 2026
Born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), I received a heart transplant at UCLA Medical Center when I was just eight months old. My family and I celebrate "heart day" every year like a second birthday, and on April 12, 2026, it will mark 34 years since that life-changing day. I am hoping to celebrate that year by participating in the 2026 Transplant Games with Team Iowa!
Team Iowa celebrates the gifts of organ, eye and tissue donation and encourages others to register as a donor. By competing in the Transplant Games of America we honor our donors, our donor families and celebrate life. The team consists of athletes and support members who participate in various events at the Transplant Games of America. Our athletes have received an organ, bone marrow, tissue or corneal transplant or are a living donor.
Help me and my team get to the 2026 Donate Life Transplant Games of America!
