Anna's fundraiser for The Brain Tumour Charity

Brighton Marathon 2024 · 7 April 2024 ·
I’m running the Brighton Marathon to support The Brain Tumour Charity, a cause close to the hearts of the Connolly clan.
The charity holds a special significance for us because my courageous and wonderful eldest sister Sarah was diagnosed with a brain tumour at just 15 years old.
She spent a significant amount of time in and out of hospitals fighting against all the odds with unwavering strength, resilience and good nature.
Sarah’s journey has not been an easy one. Even today she struggles with the after effects of treatment and ongoing epilepsy. Despite all the obstacles she had faced, she’s the most incredible person I know and an inspiration to us all.
She’s an absolute hero and I’ll try and draw strength from Sarah’s enduring spirit and channel some of that brave energy when I’m dragging myself through the miles …
Her resilience and endurance has been a constant reminder that we can overcome challenges that come our way and to I’m determined to complete this marathon one way or another!
Please consider making a donation to The Brain Tumour Charity on my behalf. Your support and any donations would be incredible and help continue research and support for those affected by this condition. Thank you 😊
