Camp Ramah has been my home away from home for my entire life. I have vivid memories of Visitor’s Days and family weekends and I eagerly counted down the days until it was finally my turn to come for a summer.

As an older camper and staff member, Ramah set me on my career path towards becoming an elementary school teacher at a Jewish day school in Boston, where I frequently use my “camp counselor skills” in various ways. Ramah taught me how to be silly, love Judaism, and value the relationships in my life.

Currently, I am married to the director of a Jewish overnight camp in New Hampshire and our obsession with our respective family camps brought us together.
