Story
As we approach the second anniversary of the atrocities perpetrated in Israel, I am gearing up for a highly meaningful bike ride through southern Israel alongside the country’s injured Heroes.
This year, Courage in Motion https://courageinmotion.ca/, the annual fundraising bike ride of Beit Halochem Canada, Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel (BHC) takes place from October 19-23.
I will be riding once again through the beautiful landscapes of Israel, pedaling through many of the kibbutzim devastated by the tragic attacks on October 7th and past the site of the Nova Festival, where so many lives were forever changed. We will be meeting members of Beit Halochem’s Achiad (PTSD support) group around a campfire to hear their stories.
As long-time supporters of Beit Halochem, Justine will join me, not as a rider but as a volunteer to support the injured veterans who inspire us all with their resilience, strength, and courage.
Beit Halochem Centers in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Beer Sheva, and Nahariya ensure that the injured and their families receive the help they need and deserve in order to return to productive and fulfilling lives. These Centers offer an unparalleled range of exceptional rehabilitative services, including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, therapeutic devices, specialized equipment, sports coaching, and cultural activities. More information on the important work of Beit Halochem Canada can be found here https://www.beithalochem.ca/.
We would be honored if you could join us on this life-changing experience by joining us on the ride or supporting our Heroes by giving a donation.
Your entire donation goes to the charity as each participant is responsible for their own costs. US and Canadian tax receipts are issued.
Courage in Motion is more than a bike ride—it’s a testament to hope, healing, and solidarity. Together we can honor the veterans and survivors, showing them they are not alone in their healing.
With love and gratitude,
Am Yisrael Chai
