Story
In March 1992 Arthur Scandrett founded the Arthur P. Scandrett Disabilities Scholarship Fund with the express purpose of helping financially needy, disabled students. The only scholarship fund of its kind has raised over $70,000 and has helped nearly 100 students in their educational journey at Howard University.
Scandrett(B.A. 69) has had a steady decline in health over the last decade in addition to his 40 year battle with multiple sclerosis. Most of the board members who helped turn this vision into a reality 30 years ago have passed away. Scandretts eldest grandson, Aimé Mukendi Jr. is determined to revamp the scholarship fund and continue the legacy his grandfather started.
