On a moonlit October night in 1868, three young cadets secretly met on a limestone outcropping near the Parade Ground of the Virginia Military Institute to form a brotherhood that would change the lives of hundreds of thousands of men. This year on Sigma Nu’s Day of Giving, we celebrate that same spirit 155 years later – still committed to those same ideals and values that are timeless.

Similarly, my home chapter, Theta Kappa at Georgia Southern, was colonized by Sigma Nu in October 1968, 100 years after our initial founding. I joined some 15 years later and as many have said here, it was that singular event which was the best decision I ever made, I also had a great fraternity experience, and 40 years later I am still engaged and still having that great experience. In the video I tell you my “why”. Why I give to the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation and continue to give, so take a peek, but also feel free to reach out to me, I am happy to chat with you. Without our National Fraternity Organization & HQs in Lexington and the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation, our local chapters would not exist, could not survive, and could not offer the first-class programming like College of Chapters, the LEAD Program, and resources like our Leadership Consultation program that our chapters and men use, enjoy, and learn from every day.

I am looking for those brothers and friends of Sigma Nu that want to make a difference today, but also those interested in making a lasting impact by joining Sigma Nu's Omega Society. I believe together, we can make this a better organization and continue to develop the programming, resources, and experiences that drive young men to the Legion of Honor, Sigma Nu Fraternity. I am a member of the board of directors of the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation and as such, I assure you that we are committed to making best use of your generous donations and building for our future.
