Story
Danielle & Beth are taking part in Hyrox Doubles in Glasgow on the 13th of March to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.
Danielle’s Story
My Auntie was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer in February 2025 and has undergone Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, surgery and Radiotherapy. Shortly after her surgery we were told that there was now no evidence of the disease & is cancer free, with Immunotherapy treatment carrying on until June 2026 ✨
Everyone’s journey is different and often not as successful. I am forever grateful to the experts who have cared for her and the ongoing support received from friends & family ❤️🩹
Beth’s story
Both my Mum & Dad were diagnosed with cancer within a few years of each other. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer and my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. Nothing prepares you for hearing this news. Watching the two people who raised you suddenly become patients is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. There were appointments, treatments, long waits and a lot of worry, but also incredible strength, resilience and gratitude for the care they received along the way. Thankfully both of my parents are now cancer free, something we are endlessly grateful for 🌻
Going through this has shown us just how much families rely on the right support at the hardest moments. From emotional reassurance to practical advice, it makes a huge difference when you’re facing something as overwhelming as cancer🎗️
By taking on HYROX together, we’re hoping to give something back and help Macmillan continue to be there for others on their own journeys. If you can donate, share or support us in any way, it truly means more than we can say.
💚
