As some of you may know, I am a member of the Junior Advisory Board ("JAB") for Her Justice - a nonprofit organization that provides free legal services to women and children living in poverty in New York City. Her Justice's clients have been disproportionately impacted by the current pandemic and various other crises facing our country. The Her Justice staff is working hard to ensure that its client continue to receive the help they so desperately need, and the JAB is committed to supporting the organization in these efforts.

To that end, we have launched the Shift the Power Campaign with the goal of raising $1,000,000 by December 31, 2024.

The campaign is a promise to the Her Justice clients – 90% of whom are women of color, 80% of whom are survivors of intimate partner violence, and 70% of whom are mothers – that they are not alone through their legal journey, and a new day is on the horizon.
