Story
Hi, I’m Bridget and I'm running the New York City Marathon!
I had found my way back to running after graduating college. When I ended my track career, I honestly thought I’d never run again. That is until I picked up the most common hobby of people in their 20s: running half marathons. After completing 3 half’s, I knew a full was next but there was only one marathon I knew I wanted to run.
In college, I used to watch TikToks of the New York City Marathon and get emotional, wondering if I could ever be part of something so powerful. After being denied through the lottery for two years, I decided to take a different path. The one that would let me chase this dream while giving back to my community.
I’m incredibly proud to be running in support of Family and Children's Association, an organization that provides help and hope to Long Island’s most vulnerable children, families, seniors, and communities.
This race is more than just 26.2 miles to me. It’s a chance to make a real impact close to home. Every donation helps support programs that strengthen families and provide critical services to those who need them most.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me 🤍
