The Snowmobile Ride-In to benefit Pine Tree Camp began in 1974 with a handful of snowmobile clubs riding into Newport for a weekend of events to support Pine Tree Camp, a summer camp for Maine children and adults with disabilities. Over the past 50 years, the event has raised nearly $5 million, translating into thousands of lives transformed by the Pine Tree Camp experience.

Pine Tree Camp provides year-round fully accessible programming to keep Maine people with disabilities engaged, active and outdoors. No camper, or family, is ever turned away due to their inability to pay.

This "open-door" policy which ensures that no camper is turned away due to their inability to pay is made directly possible by events like the Dysart's Celebrity Egg Ride.
