Story
The Woodlands Family YMCA’s Bright Life Program is a long-standing initiative dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Through year-round opportunities for social connection, skill-building, and personal growth, Bright Life empowers participants to live with confidence, inclusion, and joy.
Each December, the YMCA proudly hosts the Annual Candy Cane Ball, a cherished tradition that brings together our Bright Life participants for a truly magical evening. This festive celebration offers the chance to dress up, share a delicious dinner, and dance the night away in a welcoming environment filled with laughter, music, and friendship.
Beyond the joy it brings to attendees, the Candy Cane Ball also provides a meaningful respite for parents and caregivers—offering peace of mind and a well-deserved evening of rest while their loved ones enjoy a safe, supportive, and joy-filled experience.
Your generous support helps ensure this beloved event continues to shine as a highlight of the year for our Bright Life participants. Every contribution directly impacts the lives of individuals with IDD and their families, helping us create memories, foster inclusion, and celebrate the spirit of community that defines the YMCA.
Join us in making the Candy Cane Ball possible—because every person deserves a night to remember, and together, we can make that happen.
