Story
In Memory of Mark and my Dad, Jack ❤️
Nineteen years ago on April 5th, my parents and I lost my 16-year-old brother, Mark, to leukemia.
Mark fought an incredibly long, four-year battle. He endured nonstop chemotherapy and radiation, countless blood transfusions and spinal taps, a bone marrow transplant, and stem cell transplants. Through it all, Mark remained unbelievably strong, courageous, and determined until his very last breath.
Then, on June 18, 2025, my Mom and I lost my Dad, Jack, after his own three-year battle with multiple myeloma, another form of blood cancer.
Having experienced the devastating loss of both my brother and my father, I know firsthand how profoundly grief can change your life. I also know how important it is to have people beside you who truly understand.
The Compassionate Friends has been a very special and meaningful part of my life. This nonprofit self-help grief support organization provides support and understanding to bereaved parents, siblings, and grandparents as they navigate life after the loss of a child, sibling, or grandchild.
I’m asking for your support so that together, we can help The Compassionate Friends continue providing HOPE, comfort, and connection to grieving families who need it most.
Any donation, no matter the amount, can make a difference and let a grieving family know that they are not alone.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and for helping me honor the memories of Mark and my Dad, Jack. ❤️
