Story
I'm fighting and advocating like hell to protect SNAP benefits to feed hungry people in America. If you know me, you've seen pictures of me in Washington DC and Missouri offices of my members of Congress from in-person meetings about Medicaid and SNAP. But at this moment, it's just not enough.
We are on the cusp of losing all SNAP (aka "food stamp") benefits because Congress and the President are letting them expire. This is a devastating blow to 42 million people in the U.S. who rely on them. Seniors, children, disabled folks, and veterans are among the vulnerable low-income people who will suffer.
That's why I'm doing an EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER to help my local St. Louis Foodbank in addition to my monthly donations to them. Virtual food drives help our donations go further and feed more people than physical food drives.
Thanks to their relationships with the food industry, they can acquire more food per dollar than the average person gets at the supermarket.
Please help our neighbors in need!
