Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois (RMHCCI) is a charity that is close to my heart. I joined the board in 2019, just before the new house in Peoria opened. Over the past four years I have had a chance to see what an amazing blessing this organization has been to dozens of families.

RMHCCI provides families with a supportive place to stay when their child is receiving medical care. Not only do they provide families with a private room and bathroom, they make sure all their needs are met. They provide laundry services, meals, cleaning, and maybe most importantly, comfort and peace of mind.

As the father of two healthy daughters, I'm glad that I never needed the services of RMHCCI. But I am so happy that it is available now for those who do. Can you imagine the stress of finding housing, food and other services while ALSO dealing with the health crisis of your child? Families are never asked to pay when they stay with RMHCCI, therefore events like Wine Women & Shoes are critical to the love and care they provide families.
