As some of you know, I am on the Board for La Casa Norte. This organization follows a housing first model - they offer a continuum of housing resources and services to unaccompanied youth and families from Chicago’s west and south sides who experience or are at risk of homelessness. Their work covers permanent housing, transitional and emergency housing, education, health and nutrition. La Casa Norte is also stepping up to assist in the migrant and asylum seekers throughout the Chicagoland.
