Christine's fundraiser for The Brain Tumour Charity

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·
The Murphy Sisters and the UK's Brain Tumour Charity need your support (and your monies)!
Kat and Christine will be running this year's Royal Parks half marathon in support of The Brain Tumour Charity. As some of you may know, Mama Murph was diagnosed with a glioblastoma tumour in January 2020, one of the most aggressive and unresponsive types of tumour. We are fundraising for The Brain Tumour Charity to aid with future research on glioblastomas in hopes that other families will have better odds in the future.
Right now, the average glioblastoma survival time is 12-18 months - an estimate far beyond our experience. Only 25% of patients survive more than one year, and only 5% survive more than five years.
The charity runs 100% on donations, and your contributions will support research to increase survival rates. The charity also offers support to individuals diagnosed with a brain tumour and their loved ones. We greatly appreciate any amount you can donate.
It has been nearly eight years since Kat's knees carried her this far beyond the speed of a brisk country walk pace, so she could use your support and encouragement. And while Bean's last half marathon was five years ago, she's training extra hard to ensure she beats Kat by a minimum of 30 minutes.
Thank you for your support!
XO Kat & Christine
