Myself and my childhood best friend, Reubin, are taking on our first ever HYROX — all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

For anyone who doesn’t know, HYROX is a demanding fitness race that combines 8km of running with 8 functional workout stations. It’s designed to test your strength, and endurance.

There’s no need for a long story here about how cancer has affected me. Like so many of us, it has touched my life and the lives of people I love. Cancer affects millions of people every year, and chances are, at some point, it will affect all of us in some way.

That’s why we’re raising money for Macmillan. They’re there for people living with cancer when they need it most — providing emotional, practical and financial support, specialist nurses, information and advice, and helping people navigate what can be an incredibly difficult time.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps Macmillan continue to be there for people and their families when they need that support most.

So, if you can spare anything, we’d be hugely grateful. And if you can’t donate, sharing this would mean just as much.
