In truth, I started in 2024 as it was a fundraiser my company mentioned they participated in before and I felt it was a good cause. I couldn't imagine my family and I would require these services later in the year when my mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I participated again in 2025 with a different mindset of not just a good cause, but an essential cause very close to my heart. These services provide such a care I could not imagine going through on a daily basis, let alone that hard month of watching my own mother pass away. I will continue to hike for such a cause and I hope my fundraising and message can continue to have these services available for other families.
