Story
As many of my friends and colleagues know, my daughter Lauren was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017 at the age of 4. Laruen endured many months of surgeries, chemo and radiation therapy to treat her illness. It took a major toll on her and our entire family. Thankfully, Lauren has been on the road to recovery ever since and is now a smiley 12 year old girl. We pray every day for her continued recovery. Going through this experience exposed me to the horrors that are brought on by childhood cancer. As a parent of a child with health issues, you're often left with a feeling of helplessness and vulnerability. All you can do in that position is advocate, pray and comfort your child to the best of your ability.
Facing these challenges has given me a purpose to join the fight against childhood cancer. This will be my 7th year participating in the MACC Fund's Ringer event that will place me among a small group of golfers playing 100 holes in one day to help raise money for research to beat this disease.
Thank you for supporting me and the MACC Fund in the fight against childhood cancer and related blood disorders! #HopeForKids
