Story
THE ASK:
A 135 mile ultra-marathon trail race in Northern Minnesota in the depth of winter?! Sound crazy? Maybe, but not if I can hit my fundraising goal for the awesome cause of YMCA Camp Menogyn. Please support me in my philanthropic goal. It's super quick and easy.
THE RACE:
Whether it's +30 degrees F and sunny (unlikely) or -30 degrees F and a blizzard (likely), I will be running in the Arrowhead 135 ultra race this January. Find out more about the race at www.arrowheadultra.com.
THE CAUSE:
Menogyn is a YMCA wilderness adventure camp near the Canadian Border and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. For over 100 years Menogyn has been positively shaping the character of young men and women, teaching them teamwork, perseverance, self-confidence, love of nature, and so much more.
My Menogyn experiences on multi-week canoe trips in the Canadian north as a youth gave me skills I've relied on in my personal and professional life ever since. (It also seems to have given me an odd attraction to challenging outdoor adventures like the Arrowhead 135!).
Your donation will help support the $100,000+ in scholarships Menogyn provides each year to underprivileged youth so I ask for your generosity to help Menogyn's mission. Every dollar goes directly to the camp. Plus, your contribution will help motivate me as I trudge through the snowy miles this January!
THANK YOU!
