Story
Imagine the burning lungs of a marathon finish. Now imagine feeling that terror while sitting perfectly still on your couch. That is the reality of a Pulmonary Embolism, a blood clot in the lung.
Blood clots do not discriminate. They strike athletes, new moms, and seniors alike.
This year, I’m tackling the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend to fight this silent killer. Too often, a "cramp" or shortness of breath is dismissed until it’s too late. I’m running to change that.
I’m fundraising for Thrombosis Canada to put life-saving tools into the hands of doctors and educational materials into the hands of patients. We need to ensure that when someone struggles to breathe, the right steps are taken instantly.
I’ll handle the kilometers; I need you to help with the contribution. Your donation funds the awareness that keeps Canadians moving.
Please support my run today. Every step is a fight against the clot.
