On 25th May 2023 Jamie chose to take his own life, leaving behind hundreds of family and friends, most importantly his two children Callum & Charlotte.

Jamie had been struggling with his mental health for years and although he reached out on occasions for professional help, the true darkness within him was never on show to those around him. He was the life of the party, a 'Jack the lad' and all round nice guy.

I attempted this half marathon last year but for multiple reasons, I wasn't able to take part. This year I am committed to completing my goal, with my running partner looking over me from a far.

I am raising money for MIND who have helped both me and Jamie in the past and will continue to offer a safe space to talk and cry for many years to come.
