Story
10 years ago my life changed forever when i was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour. I had no idea what was in store as i awaited my operation to remove it and to find out grading. Naturally this was a terrifying time however the operation went well albeit they could not completely remove the full tumour and after biopsy i was diagnosed with a grade two slow growing astrocytoma.
Unfortunately three years later my scans had shown that it grew again, this time treatment was a year of chemotherapy and 6 weeks radiotherapy.
Since then all has been great so far at my annual scans, its now a part of me and our lives but to mark 10 years i would love to give something back as in all honesty there was a time when i didnt think i would make it that long! I will be running the manchester Marathon at the end of April on behalf of the Brain Tumour Charity - they are amazing at what they do and the awareness they raise so if anyone could spare a donation it would be greatly appreciated!
