300mile Tour de Centrepoint · 20 September 2023

We’re so proud to be partnering with Coventry Building Society. We believe every young person should have a place they can call home, and together, we’re on a mission to end youth homelessness for the next generation.

Story

I am taking part in a challenging cycle event for Centrepoint to raise awareness and support young people who are homeless.

The event will take place over 4 days, cycling a total distance of 300 miles with an eye watering 18,500ft of climbing. This is far beyond anything I've done on a bike before and the climbing is going to be painful!

During the challenge I will be visiting a number of Centrepoint sites to see first hand how they are making a positive impact on the lives of young people in the UK.

✔️ Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity.

✔️ They support young people aged 16-25 and the newest hub is opening in Coventry.

✔️ Youngsters can stay with Centrepoint for up to two years, and after this they keep supporting them for another six months to make sure they can live independently.

✔️Centrepoint provide accommodation, health support and life skills to get homeless young people back into education, training and employment.

✔️93% of Centrepoint young people move into their own homes or reconnect with their families, get their first jobs or go to university.

Any donations go towards providing the support necessary to give homeless young people a future; and any words of encouragement will give me a lift when tiredness kicks in and will help me to finish.

Cheers, Dom x
