Story
This is my 15th year volunteering for the Wendt Center’s Camp Forget‑Me‑Not/Camp Erin DC and raising money to enable FREE and healing camp experiences for grieving children and their families.
Since 1999, Camp Forget-Me-Not's volunteers and licensed mental health professionals have been helping Campers aged 6-17 from DC, Maryland, and Virginia to learn that they are not alone in their grief and how to ease the pain of losing a cherished loved one.
Grief is isolating. Camp Forget-Me-Not teaches children that they belong to a community of kids and adults who are living without their loved ones. Camp provides skills, understandings, and tools that aid Campers to restore and rebuild their lives after a devastating loss--learnings that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
I deeply appreciate your donations and support, xoxoxo, Donna
