Elmira College's esports team is a full varsity athletic program competing in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) in up to 22 different game titles; from first-person shooters to EA sports titles and everything in between! This isn’t just fun and games anymore - we play to win.

AND WE HAVE…

Since the fall 2022 season, Soaring Eagles esports has competed in FOUR ECAC Championships, capturing a Call of Duty title, two runner-up titles in Fifa and Overwatch, and placed 27th out of the final 40 (94 teams overall) in the Fortnite Duos Finals!

The 2023-24 school year was a time of continued growth and success for Soaring Eagles esports as we march on toward becoming a gaming powerhouse in our conference! During the fall season, we had the largest team roster in program history with 43 student-athletes competing in various game titles with multiple teams capturing a playoff bid! The prosperous fall was immediately followed by arguably the program’s most exciting season yet. Our Fortnite Duos, and Overwatch Team (A) Purple executed stellar regular seasons, leading them into their respective title’s championship round. More bright spots included multiple other titles making their playoffs as well; this includes our Call of Duty Gold team - lead by Captain, past CoD Champion, and the program’s most decorated student-athlete, Colin Conklin; as well as BOTH Rocket League and Overwatch Team (B) Gold’s first ever postseason appearance in their first ever season playing together competitively!

Soaring Eagles Esports continues to PUSH THE PAYLOAD, moving in an exciting direction while consistently competing at a high level, reaching new heights season after season, and making our presence known in the ECAC! Now, going into my sixth full season as Head Coach, I am honored to lead the Elmira College Esports athletic program and I couldn’t be more thrilled for the team’s future.
