Hello Elmira College Softball Alumni, Family, Friends, and Fans,

“Elmira College Softball is once again on the rise!” This was the first line in last year’s Soaring Forward Athletics campaign letter. This year, we will open with ELMIRA COLLEGE SOFTBALL IS STILL ON THE RISE! Following an impressive 2022 season, we made another jump in 2023 by registering the 3rd highest win total in College history, 20 wins! Other highlights included:

- We defeated St. John Fisher for the first time since 2015 (5-4 Victory on April 27, 2023).

- We advanced to the Empire 8 Final 4 for the first time since 2013.

- We had SIX All-Empire 8 Selections this season, the most in College history.

- SEVEN team members earned NFCA Academic Honor Roll Distinctions.

We are thankful to return 15 team members from last season, including seven starters and we welcome 11 new faces to the ECSB family this fall.

Your support last year assisted us to travel south for four days and participate in the largest college softball event in the country - The Grand Slam Triangle Classic in Raleigh, NC. The event hosted 37 Division III softball teams, including nine that were ranked in the preseason Top 25. We played four games on the trip, as well as attended a Notre Dame vs Duke ACC Softball game at Duke University. We are hoping to make this trip again this season.

In addition, with your support we have continued to make improvements and upgrades at our new home field at The Holding Point Complex in Horseheads, NY. New batting cages, new dugouts, new field tarp, new permanent outfield fence, and new scoreboard have all been added in the last twelve months. We have plans in place to add another batting cage, a new outfield warning track, new infield surface, and decorations for the interiors of the dugouts.
