Without really knowing it, NCLR has been supporting my people and communities for decades. Whether accompanying beloveds through asylum processes, fighting and winning impossible legal battles, or offering up bright possibilities for Queer futures filled with dance parties, NCLR has been there.

As a Board member for the past five years, I've had the opportunity to see the multitude of ways this incredible team of extraordinary people fight for the world we need and deserve. During these terrible times, donating to NCLR is one of the best investments we can make.

About NCLR

In NCLR’s 47 years, we have been a witness to the painful reality of homophobia and transphobia for our clients and community, and that racism and sexism, ableism and classism intersect with our queerness in often devasting ways. Our litigation efforts have changed the course of millions of lives, but LGBTQ people still face discrimination in many aspects of their lives. In recent years, the backlash against us has been unrelenting, cruel and dangerous.

This is why we always give our all.

As we look to 2025, we are facing an incoming administration openly hostile to 100% of the LGBTQ community. With a pending SCOTUS decision on essential medical care for transgender youth and more anti-LGBTQ bills moving through state and federal legislative bodies than ever, it’s never been clearer that WE are the ones who keep us safe. We can’t afford to give anything less than 100%.
