Every month, food banks across the province see nearly 173,000 visits from people who desperately need support. The need is dire, but thankfully, so is the determination of Albertans to help. Children represent more than a third of food-bank users in Alberta, and we know that hunger can create inequity that has ripples for the rest of their lives.
