Story
On the 2nd January 2015, my wonderful dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and unfortunately we lost him to it on the 24th January 2015, just 22 days later.
My dad is my biggest inspiration when it comes to this journey, he ran countless half marathons and raised £3,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital by running the London Marathon. We said that when I turned 18 that we would train and run the marathon together.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to that point as we lost him when I was 15, it also doesn’t help that London is almost impossible to get into too. So instead, Manchester will have to do, and I will be running for you and with you on my shoulder all the way.
So that is why I will be running Manchester Marathon in April, in memory of him.
