Frans story

“As you all know my daughter Alissa Bowman was diagnosed with a brain tumour 2 days before Christmas. It has been a hugely challenging 6 months but her courage and positivity has been absolutely inspiring. Alissa’s tumour is so rare it doesn’t actually have a name. She is one in millions and the first case of her kind in the UK. This means there is no standard treatment path. Research into brain tumours is crucial and can’t wait! It is the difference between having a treatment plan and path and not having one which leads to all kinds of unimaginable consequences. I have set myself a very ambitious target of raising £10,000 pounds for The Brain Tumour Charity. I applied to be part of their London Marathon team and have been selected!!!! OMG!!! I am going to be pushing myself to do all kinds of challenges over the next 10 months and invite you to do some on behalf of this fundraiser! My challenges will finish with The London Marathon 2025! I will keep you updated on my training and have two very special running advisors to help me Jodie Asquith and Kate Taylor (did you know that’s what you are? 😂)

So …. here we go to a very active 10 months and a lot less time spent on the couch!

Please support this fundraiser for Alissa and all the other people out there with brain tumours and especially those rare and unique ones! “
