Why We Need You

Meet Enactus Loyalist, a team of students dedicated to making the world a better place! This year, our team secured a spot in the Enactus Canada National Exposition, a competition taking place in Calgary this May. To get there, we need your help!

What We Need

Our team is fundraising to cover travel costs associated with getting to and from the competition in Calgary, as well as the incidental costs (food, transportation, etc.) while we’re there.

Loyalist College has generously offered to cover some of these costs, but there remains a gap that the team needs to fill. While our students are willing to cover some of these costs personally, they can’t do it by themselves… that’s where you come in!

Every dollar donated will help fund an incredible learning opportunity that builds experience, confidence, and skills that our students will take with them in their future study and as professionals when they enter the workforce.

How We Got Here

To earn a place at the Enactus Canada National Exposition, our team competed at the Enactus Central Canada Regional Exposition in March, where our project – The MEAT-LE$$ Menu – was named league champion. The MEAT-LE$$ Menu project, spearheaded by environmentally conscious students – including a vegetarian – aims to collaborate with institutional food service providers to integrate sustainable, plant-based ingredients and dishes into traditional menus, making environmentally friendly eating more accessible and affordable without sacrificing taste or increasing costs for institutions.

What is Enactus?

Enactus (Entrepreneurial + Action + Us) is a global non-profit organization that connects students, academic professionals, and business leaders to drive social and entrepreneurial change. It focuses on empowering university and college students to develop projects that create positive social, economic, and environmental impact through entrepreneurship.
