Story
Each year, the brothers of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) at the University of Alberta come together for our annual Run to Red Deer, a tradition that we push ourselves as a brotherhood to cover the distance from Edmonton to Red Deer, not just as a physical challenge, but as a way to give back to our community.
This run is more than just kilometres on the road — it’s about standing together for a cause that matters. This year, we are proud to support the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE), an organization that has been there for survivors of sexual violence since 1975, and educators of University students on our campus, and our Fraternity. With nearly half of Albertans impacted by sexual violence in their lifetime, the work SACE does is vital.
By taking on this challenge as a fraternity, we aim to raise both awareness and funds so SACE can continue to:
Offer crisis support when someone needs it most.
Provide professional trauma counselling to help survivors heal.
Support individuals through the justice system with advocacy and guidance.
Educate and empower communities to work toward a future free from sexual violence.
For us, the Run to Red Deer is a poignant reminder of what brotherhood means: lifting one another, persevering, and uniting for something greater than ourselves. With every kilometre we hope to make a difference.
Thank you for your donations :)
