Story
Hey everyone!
As I’m sure some of you may know, I’m running the NYC marathon this coming year in support of an organization that’s very close to my heart - Tina’s Wish.
At its core, Tina’s Wish not only works to empower those with ovarian cancer through education and the support of hard science, ensuring that we continue to improve upon our modalities for early diagnosis and treatment, but also support people emotionally through shared gatherings and storytelling, humanizing the experience of ovarian cancer and ensuring a community is made in the process.
On a personal level, as someone with multiple family members that have inherited the BRCA gene and have subsequently undergone preventative surgical removal of their ovaries, I’ve witnessed the fear that comes with an unexpected and challenging diagnosis. It’s clear that Tina’s Wish not only provides crucial education to those in need, but also empowers a community in desperate need for support.
I’m so fortunate to not only have the opportunity to run the NYC marathon, but do so in support of such an amazing organization as Tina’s Wish. Please help me in supporting the science, the people, and Tina’s Wish.
