Francesca's fundraiser for The Brain Tumour Charity - Edinburgh marathon and The Royal Parks half

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·
I completed the Edinburgh Marathon on the 26 May 2024 and will also be undertaking the Royal Parks Half on the 13 October 2024. As many of you know I am one of the very fortunate few to have a brain tumour and come out the other side with my wonky hair, love of sleep and odd leg! I remain under review until late 2025 but I am forever grateful for the love and support many of you gave me and Brian when it all hit the fan!!
In 2023 I was reminded of the devastation these tumours can cause. My friend Amanda’s cousin Theo, aged 3 developed a tumour and has had to undergo an operation and so much treatment for such a little person and also my friend Rupert and his son Jake living and going through treatment also. SO!
The Brain Tumour Charity gives so much support to people like Brian and I , Jake and Theo that we wanted raise some funds to continue to support our families and others less fortunate. So this time I am going to run the Edinburgh marathon on the 26 May this year.
Training has commenced and Sunday mornings are now long run days and will be right through to the day. I will be running with my bestie Ana, so we shall laugh and run the whole way I am sure.
We would all be really grateful if you would support the Brain Tumour Charity and raise some funds for this amazing cause.
