Melissa, Kennedy, Dexter and myself are once again proud to lend our support and fundraising efforts to the Adopt-a-Family program. It is through the support of our family, friends and colleagues that has allowed us to raise over $20,000 total in the prior 3 years, helping upwards of a couple dozen families get through the holiday season.

We're once again reaching out, and asking for donations. Our goal is to help a bundle of at least 9 different families, comprising in various sizes of 2 to 7 family members. And as always, in our commitment to reaching these goals, we'll be personally matching donations to help get there. All amounts are greatly appreciated, and we appreciated your consideration.

Since 2010, Closer to Home’s Adopt-a-Family initiative has brought hope and holiday joy to vulnerable families in Calgary and area. This year, I’m hosting a fundraiser to make that hope a reality for a specific family—and I’m inviting you to join me.

Your donation will provide gift cards to parents, caregivers, and children, giving them the most meaningful gift of all—choice. Families can buy essentials like diapers and groceries, or choose special gifts to brighten the holidays.

A portion of each gift supports Closer to Home’s Community Fund, helping families year-round, and covers essential program costs so every dollar makes a real difference.

When I reach my goal, I’ll be matched with a family and share a glimpse into their journey—so we can see the lives we’ve touched together.
