Habitat for Humanity empowers individuals through home ownership, relationship building, and community revitalization. I've had the opportunity to work on community builds, learn about the sweat equity model, and meet families and community members. The experience taught me skills about home construction and property maintenance. Each time I volunteered I contributed to the stories and communities in which I served. My participation in the Newburgh Walk is another way to support the community in which I work.
