On May 25th, I will be running the full marathon in the 2025 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend. I am running for my father, Nello Granata, who was recently diagnosed with early stage Dementia. Nello is a lifelong music enthusiast & entrepreneur, who opened his first business; a pizza shop (Chez Nello) and later on in life, founded Granata Music. He brought his passion for music to life, starting with a modest inventory that mainly included books and guitar strings. The driving force behind the business was Nello’s unwavering love for music.

I am reaching out to you today with a heartfelt request: please consider supporting my fundraising efforts for The Dementia Society by donating towards my goal of $1,000 CAD. Your contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by dementia, and help provide essential resources and support. Once my goal is reached; I will match the total amount and donate to this amazing cause.
