My name is Gus Goyal and I am a Junior at Delbarton School. This year, I am lucky enough to be a part of the Junior Board at Overlook, a student-based group that seeks to benefit the Overlook Foundation through fundraising. As a group, we decided to put our efforts toward funding the Stacy Goldstein Breast Cancer because of the impact breast cancer has on our lives or the lives of people close to us.

Timely access to breast exams and intervention is critical to the ever-growing number of patients seeking screening and diagnostic procedures.

While one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, 65% of cases are diagnosed at the localized stage, leading to a 5-year survival rate of 99%.

The expansion of the Stacy Goldstein Breast Center at Overlook will provide significantly increased capacity for screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and biopsies. Renovations are being made to waiting areas, consultation spaces, and procedure rooms; next-generation ultrasound and mammography machines are being added; and the center's medical team is poised to play a leading role in advancing education, research, and treatment surrounding breast health.
