Story

Thank you for stopping by my fundraising page!

I have joined Team FNIH again for the 2026 season to participate in the DC Half Marathon this September, and raise funds that support FNIH's efforts to improve the quality of people's lives through unique partnerships with government agencies and leading industry, non-profit and patients-based organizations.

Thank you for considering donating to my campaign because the work of the FNIH means so much to me personally as an infectious disease scientist. No other organization can forge the science advancing partnerships that advance breakthrough biomedical discoveries for patients with cancer, metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and everything in between. With all the disruption to science and funding the last year it is great to have an organization that still believes in all we do and keeps science moving forward.

Cheer me on to the finish line by making a contribution to my campaign today. With the FNIH consistently receiving top ratings from charity watch dog websites like Charity Navigator, you can rest assured your donation will go far to help those in need.

Thanks for your support! And thank you to those that donated last year. You can see my progress & rants on Strava in the feed on this page but if you'd like to follow my journey other wise, if you see Capt Quinton Sparrow as the avatar on Strava you know you found the right cat lady. I'm trying to add pictures with at least 1 run during the week of where I'm at. (https://www.strava.com/athletes/captquintonsparrow)
