Welsh Three Peaks · 10 August 2026

The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity is the principle charity of the Royal Navy. Beneficiaries lie at the heart of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity's purpose, it is our duty to remain focused on their needs.

Story

Jack, George, Katie, Elliot and Harriet will be taking on the challenge of walking an extended Welsh Three Peaks route on 10/11 August 2026 in aid of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC).

Our route includes the three Welsh peaks – Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan – but we've added Fan y Big, Cribyn, and Corn Du to total six peaks along the way to make the challenge even tougher.

While the standard Welsh Three Peaks covers around 17 miles with 2,334 metres of elevation gain, our customised route will total approximately 28.5 miles and 3,000 metres of ascent. Despite the extra distance and climbing, we'll be aiming to complete all the summits within 36 hours.

We have chosen to raise money for the RNMC as through our work, we collaborate closely with various areas of the Royal Navy and have gained a real appreciation for the challenges faced by serving personnel and their families. We recognise the sacrifices they make, often spending long periods away from loved ones while carrying out vital roles that help keep our nation safe. Supporting the RNMC is a way of saying thank you to the men and women who serve, and to help provide support to them and their families when they need it most.
