Hey Pals! Your friendly neighbourhood HFXspidey here! When I heard about this event, I figured it would be perfect for a Webhead like me. Some of you may not know this, but I have undergone 15 surgeries within the IWK and have gone through the education system with a learning disability.
Funds raised in full for this charity, allow me to take part in Drop Zone (in my Spidey suit); an event where I'll be rappelling from the tallest building in Halifax, NS.
For many individuals living with cognitive/physical disabilities, normal daily tasks can feel as scary as rappelling down a building. I am entering this because I want to show all of you how important it is to face your fears. I hope by fundraising $1,500 CAD I can help support the extremely important programs that make lives for many Nova Scotians easier.
Shortly after Drop Zone last year, I started working at Easter Seals as their Coordinator for the I CAN TOO Program, and I get to see the amazing impact that this organization makes everyday for those with disabilities. Your donation is important and will help many people.
