FLC is more than a day program, it is a place for adults with developmental disabilities to grow personally, develop socially, and enjoy community together. My brother Andy has grown so much in his personality and communication since joining in 2015.

Through the immersive Weekday Program, Andy and his friends are provided person-driven support through group learning and community-based classes to develop confidence, self-advocacy, and skills necessary to accomplish personal goals and find fulfillment. My family and I can tell Andy's excitement from his day at FLC since he will either want to call everyone in the family on the way home or he is too tired from the day and tries to sneak in a nap!

The Friends are building stronger friendships through these shared experiences -- creating memories, learning new skills, and expanding their abilities -- which reinforces a feeling of belonging. Some highlights from Andy's experience are stocking shelves at a local food bank, and loving the treadmill!
