SENDING HUNGER TO THE UPSIDE DOWN
Our team’s creation brings the world of Stranger Things to life through a dynamic wall installation, with one side representing a portal to the Upside Down dimension and the other grounded in the fictional town of Hawkins. The human dimension features a retro 1980s television set and iconic Eggo waffles, evoking nostalgic comfort and flickering screen vibes. A nod to one of the show’s most haunting scenes—where Will’s mom uses Christmas lights strung across the wall to communicate with her lost son—adds emotional depth, symbolizing hope and connection in the fight to end hunger. This can sculpture doesn’t just blur the line between two worlds—it creates a striking visual of dual realities.
Through this bold contrast, we’re showing that just like in Stranger Things, real heroes face real challenges, and in our world, that means taking a stand against hunger.
