Story
Every year, students arrive at Champlain College with big ambitions but significant gaps in the skills they'll need after graduation. Our survey data from over 1,100 students entering the college tells the story: only 21% feel confident in their professional presence, just 33% feel ready to write a cover letter, and fewer than 40% feel prepared to launch a career.
The InSight Program changes that.
InSight is Champlain's four-year co-curricular program guiding students through career positioning, financial literacy, and personal wellbeing. By graduation, all metrics without exception see a marked increase in self-reported student sentiment.
We've worked hard this year to reimagine our entire financial education track through social constructivist learning theory, replacing passive lectures with experiential, peer-driven learning where students build real financial skills together. That work has been accepted for presentation at the HEFWA Summit, one of the premier national conferences in collegiate financial wellness. Institutions across the country are now partnering with us to develop shared materials that are elevating financial education at the national level.
Your donation directly supports sending Champlain students to co-present this research at national conferences alongside our staff, a powerful resume builder, and a rare undergraduate research opportunity that puts our students and our college on the national stage. Help us keep leading the way.
