Story
Hi! My name is Jack O’Neill and I am a junior at Seton Hall Prep in West Orange NJ. I joined the Junior Board it gave me the opportunity to raise money for Overlook Medical Center and give back to my community which it serves. Many members of my immediate and extended family have had treatments here or have worked here. Every single time I have stepped into this hospital, whether it was to visit a family member or just for a junior board meeting, I always see the loving staff making sure each person in the hospital feels comfortable during their time of need. Seeing this, I wanted to give back to Overlook so it can continue to positively change the lives of the people it serves. Having the best medical technology available attracts the best doctors which benefits the community as a whole. This groundbreaking technology will significantly better the lives of patients who undergo spine surgeries and neurosurgeries at Overlook Medical Center. Some 1.5 million spine surgeries are performed each year in the United States. Here at Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center, Atlantic Neuroscience Institute is the area’s leader in neurological, neurosurgical, and neurodiagnostic care. And with our introduction of the Globus ExcelsiusGPS robotic navigation system, patients will receive the most advanced, minimally invasive spinal care available today. Add to that the Excelsius3D that makes use of fluoroscopy and intraoperative CT imaging and surgeons can count on 360-degree rotation that creates high-density 3D images, plus easy maneuverability in tight spaces. Rounding out this conflux of cutting-edge technology is the Zeiss microscope featuring the best digital visualization capabilities in the field. Spine surgery has entered a new era in which precision, safety, and efficiency define the gold standard of care.
