I’m taking on HYROX this spring with Cjay to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

This challenge means everything to me. I’m doing it in loving memory of my mum, Jayne Pond, who sadly passed away on 31st January 2026 after a 2-year battle with cancer. What began as breast cancer and progressed to stage 4 brain and liver cancer. Watching her go through this opened my eyes to just how important support like Macmillan’s truly is—not just for patients, but for families too.

HYROX is a tough fitness race made up of 1km runs and workout stations, repeated eight times. It’s going to push us physically and mentally, but it’s nothing compared to what so many people face every day.

We’re aiming to raise £800, which could fund over an hour of Macmillan’s Support Line, helping people get vital advice and emotional support when they need it most.

Every donation makes a difference:

£10 could provide 10 copies of the ‘Help with the cost of cancer’ booklet

£20 could fund a session with a Macmillan Buddy

£39 could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one hour

There are over 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, and Macmillan relies on donations to continue their incredible work.
