Story

Welcome to our Brighton Marathon 2025 profile page for Diabetes UK.

Nathan and I are pleased to be part of a charity fund raiser to help people living with diabetes.

Someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes? It’s a life changing and unfortunately and life shortening condition. More than 5 million people are living with diabetes in the UK right now.

These are some of the symptoms a diabetic would be feeling day to day.

- Fast heartbeat.

- Shaking.

- Sweating.

- Nervousness or anxiety.

- Irritability or confusion.

- Dizziness.

- Hunger.

- Urinating large amounts.

- Excessive thirst.

- Feeling tired.

- Frequent hunger.

- Dry mouth.

- Weight loss.

- Blurred vision.

The long term condition's a diabetic may experience later on in life.

- Damage to large and small blood vessels, which can lead to heart attack and stroke.

- eye damage or blindness

- kidney problems

- feet and nerves.

- fertility

- Recurrent infections (e.g., urinary infections, skin infections)

So, we are running towards a healthier us, and a better future for people living with diabetes. Support my challenge by hitting the donate button on our profile page.
