Hello family and friends. I’m fundraising for Action Medical Research (check them out). My friends Keith (Skin), Kris and my girlfriend Natalie are competing in a triathlon style race consisting of a 40 mile cycle ride, 2 mile kayak row and an 11 mile hike. Im hoping what’s left of my knackered lung and the good one will get me through this challenge. The date of the event signifies twelve months since my lung cancer surgery and it’s a fitting way to celebrate coming out the other side of cancer and life itself! For 65 years we’ve helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people. Our research has helped to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths. But we urgently need to develop more new treatments and cures for sick babies and children and we can’t do it without you.
