Story
Dear Friends,
As many of you know, I faced an unimaginable loss when my mother passed away in June 2023 from an aggressive form of ALS. Watching her struggle with daily functions, including the simple act of breathing, left me feeling hopeless and devastated. Her strength and beauty in the face of such a cruel disease inspire me to take action.
This year marks the two-year anniversary of her passing, and I am participating in the 2025 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend on May 25, 2025. I have always believed in raising awareness and funding for causes close to my heart, and this marathon is a chance to honor my mother's memory while advocating for those affected by ALS.
ALS is a devastating disease that robs individuals of their ability to walk, talk, and ultimately breathe. There are currently no treatments or cures available. With your support, we can drive change and create a better reality for families living with this illness. The funds raised will enable access to vital support services and equipment for those affected by ALS. Additionally, your contributions will support research efforts aimed at making ALS a treatable condition.
I kindly ask for your support in reaching my fundraising goal of $1,000. Together, we can make a significant impact in the fight against ALS and bring hope to countless families facing this challenge. Thank you for standing with me as we strive for progress.
